Are you all right without your jacket? If you feel safe traveling, you should return for it. (It sounds as if he didn't harm you too badly, but I would want to avoid anything further as well.)

I can throw my robe on but I hate when it gets damp, the thing takes forEVER to dry.

Is your robe or your jacket warmer? If the jacket is warmer, wear the robe and warm up with the jacket when you make it here. If the robe is, save it for once you've stopped traveling for the day.

And wear the robe regardless if the cold is too much.
